Socially responsible business practices
Ethical business practice has increased in importance over the past number of years - increasing numbers of customers, shareholders and other stakeholders, who care about the way in which goods have been produced and services provided.
This is backed up by research:
- 44% of European consumers surveyed are willing to pay more for environmentally and socially responsible products (Mori /CSR Europe 2000)
- 86% of institutional investors across Europe believe that social and environmental risk management will have a significantly positive impact on its long-term market value (The European Survey on SRI and the Financial Community, Taylor Nelson 2001)
- Concern looks to work with businesses to help develop sustainable and effective social responsibility policies
