Concern is working to help minimise the destruction to people’s homes when floods occur. Homes are being built on raised platforms and with flood-resistant material. Concern has also been working to develop new methods in disaster risk reduction such as planting seasonal vegetables that can grow during the dry season.
These measures have already improved thousands of families’ situations when flooding occurs. But the threat of floods is never far away, Concern needs your support to keep working with these vulnerable communities.
