Concern recieves donation from EthiopiaAid for emergency appeal

Concern Worldwide has received a generous donation of �50,000 from Ethiopiaid towards Concern�s emergency nutrition response in the Gurage Zone of Ethiopia.
Ethiopiaid is an organisation aiming to create lasting and positive change in Ethiopia by tackling the problems of poverty, ill health and poor education.
In parts of Ethiopia, right now, 4.3 million people are at risk of starvation. Concern are trying to help thousands of children and their families by providing urgently-needed food and healthcare.
The main problem is that the rains have failed, causing crop failure and the worst drought the region has seen in years. The price of food is also skyrocketing, intensifying this already dire crisis.
Concern is working to prevent this crisis from becoming worse than it already is. As an organisation, Concern have long term experience of working in Ethiopia under harsh conditions, working closely with the government, helping people who live in drought-affected areas.
Concern will use this generous donation from Ethiopiaid to provide supplementary food and medicine for 3,363 malnourished children under five and pregnant and lactating mothers.
